It Came From Sword and Shield!

Eternatus Official Art

Eterna

Here we are! Christmas eve marking our very first Legendary Pokemon! Eternatus, the Gigantic pokemon. I won’t spoil its significance in the story, but I will spoil what it can do and its abilities! Brace yourself, you’ve been warned!

So let’s begin with lore. I’m gonna make this clear: I am judging these legendaries against other legendaries, otherwise, they would just be nothing but 10 out of 10. Eternatus crashed on earth over 20,000 years ago, and {REALLY BIG SPOILERS} before being {MORE SPOILERS}. It can make pokemon gigantic, referred to as the Dynamax Phenomenon. Pokemon that go through this transformation grow to Godzilla size and become massively more powerful. It also needs to absorb energy to stay active, so it is a threat to our entire civilization. Not the greatest lore compared to most legendaries, but acceptable.

For style, it is a powerhouse. It looks very, very alien, clashing completely with the art style of the games. This is a good thing, as it is an alien, and not a friendly one. It resembles the floating remains of a dragon, although it isn’t undead; that’s just how it looks. It is unique in being the first Poison-type legendary, and the only Poison/Dragon-type pokemon after the purge of the Pokedex in Sword/Shield. It’s ribcage functions as a cannon, allowing it to blast its special move: Dynamax Cannon. But it gets way, way crazier:

Eternamax

Behold the alien horror floating before us, standing at over 391 feet long/tall and weighing so much it is listed as ???.? Ibs, this is Eternamax Eternatus. Now resembling a colossal hand descending from a massive coiled up body surrounding its enlarged, pulsing core, this monster is the most powerful pokemon of all time. With an absolutely colossal 1125 base stat total, it is truly unstoppable. It has zero bad stats. It is good at everything. It was put into this form due to {MORE SPOILERS} and now begins to warp the very fabric of reality just by existing. This form of Eternatus is unfortunately unusable in-game, but it appears only once during Eternatus’s boss battle. I figured I’d just cover the Eternamax form now for convenience’s sake.

For battle prowess, disregard everything I said about Eternamax form because you can’t actually use that form. It is still one of the most powerful pokemon in existence, however. With a base stat total of 690, it is the strongest non-form changed pokemon in the game. It learns a wide variety of moves to help it deal with its arch-nemesis: Steel types. Flamethrower is particularly good at dealing with these. Its trusty Dynamax Cannon can punch a massive hole in any non Fairy type pokemon, and its Eternabeam is the strongest non-suicidal move in the game, able to demolish just about anything save for Faeries, with the catch of not being able to move on the next turn. For those aforementioned Faeries, its Poison-type helps it defeat them easily. It is without question one of the most powerful pokemon out there.

For lore, I’m giving it a 6 out of 10, as what we have is good, but it’s not enough. They’re probably gonna expand on it in the following games, however. For style, it gets an easy 10 out of 10. I thoroughly explained why in the section. For battle prowess, it’s a 9 out of 10, as it is almost completely unbeatable, even among other legendaries. For my personal enjoyment of the pokemon, it gets a 9 out of 10. I absolutely love this pokemon, even if its an alien horror bent on the destruction of life as we know it!

Next pokemon: Deliberd.

The Wonderful Wailord

Wailord

I hope you Poked Up, everybody! Last time we talked about Metagross. Today we’re talking about the abomination of the sea– the biggest of ALL Pokemon– Wailord. Wailord is so heavy and so large that if there was an underwater city in Pokemon, like Atlantis,  Wailord would so smash down the city because of how large it is.

I love Wailord because it’s one of those Pokemon that’s almost impossible to find. It’s also just extremely strong and rare. Surprisingly, even though it’s big and fat, it can still compete in the Poke-athalon. The Poke-athalon is a competition of skills and wills. Wailord is the second best competitor in the Poke-athalon right behind Sunkern at the tippy-top.

Here’s something: Wailord is one of the two keys to unlocking the Pokemon Registeel, Regirock and Regice.  He has so many abilities, I can’t count them which is exactly why I didn’t show his abilities in this post. Well, Poke Up, everybody. These are all the notes I have to discuss about this rather large Pokemon. Bye bye!

HEY! Future Mr. Pokemon here (from 2019)! That whole “He has so many abilities, I can’t count them which is exactly why I didn’t show his abilities in this post.” was a lie I made when I was a silly, dumb kid. I was just to lazy. And I’m still to lazy to add them here! Go to Bulbapedia if you want to know everything there is to know about this guy. Here is the link to Wailord’s page: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Wailord_(Pokémon).

Just a quick update from future Mr. Pokemon!

Pokemon Black 2: More About Zekrom and Reshiram

zekrom-and-reshiram-legendary-pokemon-black-and-white-artwork-lets-play

We are going to be talking about Zekrom once again. A few minutes ago I caught a Zekrom and it was one of the best times in the whole game. This game is Pokémon Black 2. It’s also the only game where you can get Black Kyreum. As you all know, Zekrom is THE strongest electric type Pokémon in the entire game. I am a HUGE fan of electric types, so you can imagine why I love Zekrom so much. I’m just saying, thank you for liking this Pokémon if you are one of those Zekrom-lovers out there.

The point of the game is to catch ’em all, even though it really is impossible to those who really don’t know. Some exciting things about the game are that after catching Zekrom, you can catch Kyreum. I am planning on using my master ball for Kyreum. I didn’t catch Zekrom with the greatest of ease because, as you all know, Zekrom is kind of easy to catch even though it took me four balls to catch him. Maybe it was five, because I used a few pokeballs. Zekrom is such an amazing electric and dragon type because it’s never disappointed anybody who’s ever used it. This is because of his fusion bolt. It rolls him up into an electric ball and shoots at the target with a super-charged electric cannonball tackle that can knock out even some of the strongest Pokémon. Reshiram and Zekrom’s kryptonite is the ground type. You see, Resharim is weak to it because it’s part fire type. Zekrom is weak to it because it’s part electric. Due to that these two have dragon type moves which they can still use to inflict great damage on ground types which they are both weak to.

That’s probably all I have to say about Pokémon Black 2 and these two AMAZING Legendary Pokémon. Poke Out! And have a great summer.
